Thanks Jason! I got really lucky it just worked out I guess. It's weird, because all I've heard is they can be hard to pair up and are viscous towards tank mates if they do bond, but these guys are pretty mellow lol.
Other than the Jag, which I've pulled for the time being, they actually let the other fish hang out really close to the fry. "Jaws" our big pleco gets swarmed by them and the only time the female seemed concerned was when they were wigglers. She would do this gentle " move it along " move and Jaws would slowly swim out of the spawning pit. They let the Argentea sit anywhere he wants pretty much.
It almost seems like they know the difference between the piscovores and the plant eaters and don't see them as a threat. Jag freaked them out pretty bad, but none of the other fish. Not even the Silver dollars..... She chases a little while laying eggs, but that's it....
Always out front too. She parades them up and down the whole tank, almost showing them off. It's been remarkably peaceful do far...... I'm so ready for all hell to break loose, but it hasn't happened...... yet
