festea or mayan?

i got this little guy.. or girl in a trade with a friend for a jd. he had no idea if it was a festea or mayan, by the spot on the tail i think it's a festea but i may be wrong. in his tank it showed stripes and if i remember correctly it had the y but it's only been showing spots lately. also i'd really like to pick the brains of you festea experts, thanks in advance.

I'm 100% sure it is a Festae.

if it has the Y stripe behind the gill plate then its a festae. mayans do not have the Y if i remember correctly. the spot also takes up more than half the gap in a mayan tail as well.

after watching it for almost an hour i was almost completely sure it was a festea, but i figured screw it i'll take some pictures and see what everyone on here thinks. it's always good to have another opinion

any idea on a sex? it was faint blue on the front half of the dorsal fin and blue spangling on the other fins. also what are some things to feed it to bring more of the red out?
