Male festae. Not so much harder to come by, just that uro's get slipped in their place accidentally by unknowing packers and distributors.
festea or mayan?

I've noticed haha. Every lfs I go to in my area have 'red terrors,' the only place that I've seen around Pittsburgh that had actually labelled festae is elmer's where I bought another one today and some other place that I can't remember the name of that is really shady with two pairs of adults.
Oh and speaking of the second place I named, I wanna say aqua land.. or world maybe? Has festea but they also have mayans labelled as red terrors. Did I miss the memo saying that mayans are now red terrors?
Dominance or courtship? The two will go side by side facing in different directions puff up, spread their fins out and shake. They also nibble each others undersides and turn a coppery orange color.
those look like true festae but its hard to tell until the black bars start to form the Y or 4.

they both have the y, the one I got today shows it's stripes almost all the time. The male usually either has spots or nothing but blue spangles when he trys to show off.
