So how long do you figure i should starve him then feed him blood worms, then repeat this method?

Buddy, just do as I suggested, or your fish is simply going to hold out until the next time that you toss in more bloodworms. Now it's trained you.
No FH is going to starve itself to death if pellets are presoaked in BW juice & offered once each day. Eventually it will eat. Once it gets going, simply stop presoaking. You're making this much more difficult & much more complicated than it needs to be.
