Fiberglass Tanks for Rays

The solution to this is rocking it back and forth, pretty much. (That and whacking it with a screwdriver .) Thanks Neoprodigy, for the help.

The Fiberglass tanks are coming in soon; I'm thinking about buying a few hundred pounds of fine river gravel. Any thoughts?

We've got a 40 gallon turtle tank (running plant duty right now), a 125, a 360, have x2 523's coming in, 150 gallon q tank, and a 10 gallon tank that we're thinking about putting pea puffers in.

So... seven? Seven, I think.

I can't wait to get a valve to stop the fluidized bed from backwashing, lol. Any time I turn it off I have to do this ghetto thing to it to get it running again.

no need to a valve... get a external check valve... that all i did for mine...told you in original post to get them before you set them up for that reason

So, instead of building a pond in our living room we thought we might go with a pair of the 525 gallon fiberglass tanks here, back to back, plumbed together:

Until we buy a home and can rip our yard/basement/guest rooms apart, we thought this would be a nice place to start.

How many adult rays could be housed in these with good filtration?

What do you think? Any suggestions for filtration (I'm' thinking bead filter?), plumbing, etc?

(If you know of a place that sells larger ray footprint friendly fiberglass tanks with viewing windows, or just cheaper ones, let me know!)

Wow that is really expensive! I'm too thrifty to blow $3000 on something that I know that I can get for $1500. Then again, it might just be a vastly superior product. Wish I knew.

Haven't gotten a chance to head up to Lowe's. I need to get the stuff to set up the drip on the 360, as well, so I'll be getting it soon.
