I think in the long run even if those tanks are cheaper.....you would be happier spending more and getting a standard glass or acrylic tank.

No you wouldn't. These have way better dimensions. And are very easy to drill. Not to mention lightweight. I can move mine by myself.

That's not so bad. You could easily build something around it and over the top to give it a clean look. I would be more worried about humidity control than the looks with the way you have it now.

Humidity is no big deal. I just have some dehumidifiers running in my basement. I am planning to build something around it eventually, I just haven't gotten around it yet. If you were to put it in a wall or something, you could cover it with a big piece of plexi or something to slow down evaporation.

I would highly recommend one of these tanks, it's well worth the money.

Very col...!!!

I was just looking at these for a possible outdoor pond / tank... Was thinking about insulating it and building an engineered stone facade around it.... Probably incorporate a green house for the winter.....

was also thinking about the rubbermaid 300G.... But no window....

Anyone have experience painting the fiberglass black....?

John

BTW the 128 gallon tank from aquatic eco is really a 150. They have it spray painted on the inside of the tank in red lol.

Here is what I originally wanted to do. I sketched these in google.

thats a pretty cool setup greatfulxdead....I like the dimensions.
Price wise....I got my 125 6' tank for $350, so the prices are pretty close.

Yeah, but your tank is only 18" wide. It's well worth it for a 48X30" tank!
