Fill me in on the pike cichlid

they guy i got this pike cichlid off of had him in a 40gallon with: oscar,x2 jack dempseys,green terror, and a couple others i think. hmmmmm.. so for now hes in a bigger and better home
 
Fresh shrimp is probably fine. Freeze dried is ridiculously expensive because it isn't mostly water, but I still think it costs more than it should.

well if ya get a 125 or 150 hed be in good shape, just make sure you throw in fish that cna hold their own
 
You can get 25 night crawlers at walmart in the fishing section for $2.99 very convenient and pikes go nuts over them. I cut the first 1\8 inch of the worm off (the head end) it keeps them from digging into your gravel. A big fat night crawler will make one heck of a stink.
 
Well as some of you may know i just got this pike cichlid a few days ago. When she was first introduced to the tank, my parrot fish wouldnt stop pestering her (territiorial* issues i gues). Well now a few days later they dont leave eachothers side. Where ever the blood parrot goes the pike cichlid follows its sooo funny. BP goes up pike goes up, down and down. You know what i mean. Its like the pike cichlid feels protected or something. Idk, anyone think they can explain this? do most pike cichlids pair off with different species? or am i just imagining things, thanks

your imagining things, are you planning on upgrading to a bigger tank for this bad boy
do i see a rtc?
