Hello folks ... I've noticed a film gathering on the surface of my 220 I've done water changes an it always seems to come back I have my fx5 return hose pointed to the top to keep water moving but still gathers at the other end cause tank is 6' long but it doesn't seem to hurt the fish I have 4 small Oscars in there now can someone give my some info on what it maybe an how to solve it thank would be greatly appreciated !

Alot of your wasted proteins will accumulate at the top. Especially on a long tank like that. It's normal as long as its not overwhelming. You can try getting a powerhead at the other end of the return to churn up the waters surface.

try running a surface skimmer or just put a powerhead on the side of the tank with the water flow faced up towards the surface of the water. always helps
