those filters a quit a pretty penny but im sure they are worth it!

which brings me to my next question.

I used swimming pool filters back when i had 122 tanks in my fish room. A swimming pool filter is cheaper than your average canister like the FX5.

is there a thread with this set up and how well it works and the work involved?

How's your overflows pump so it allows to use 75 gal without dry the pump?

Overflows are plugged and not running. It's a closed loop. One suction and one return. I love that I can adjust the water level so my fish don't get damaged heads.
