what size tank you have? and yeah, you cant go wrong with a big aquaclear

i got a 29 gal with hardly anything in it....i need more fish

yeah i think a good sized AC brand filter will be good. just choose one thats rated for 2~3 times what your tank size is and youll be good to go!

hmm, not sure about those. never had them so i cant help you there. i know there was a thread a few months back about that issue. just search for diatom and see what you find...
