Filter problem help asap please!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yep i was filling the tank slowly as i was dripping into the bin...shes in!!! and she looks good thank god! i was able to look underneath her and she looks good, no red marks or anything...so all is well as of now!
will write back after work on her status!

thanks for the info!

Next time, unless for some strange reason you have different hardness levels between the tanks, you don't need to acclimate a ray you're just moving around.

Also, don't access MFK from work in case someone checks up and spots the truth about your "flat" :D

still at work...wont be home until about 8pm tonight...gotta stop by home depot and pick up some pvc pipes to finish the plumbing of the sump for the pond :)

but i did talk to the gf who was at home on her lunch, and she told me that the ray looked good and was following the 2 other rays...so that makes me happy...phew!
but will def. update when i get home

it was almost as though something called me into the basement this morning! thank god it did lol!!!

hey the questions is? (and sorry if i missed something)
are two HOB even if they are fully operational, able to provide enough filtration to keep rays?
or is this all temp until you get your pond going or something?

sky...yes, the 75 that she was in had two 70 acquclear hob filters as wel as a whisper 50 air pump on it, and the 150 has two fluval 405 canister filters with whisper 100 air pump...and these are both temporary homes until they go into the 500 gallon pond (the rays are 6in, 7in, and 8in) which should be within 2 weeks time :)

UPDATE..she is looking good! what a relief! I couldn't stop thinking about it the whole day! Going to feed her tomorrow morning :)

thanks! i will have def have a thread started for the pond! and this morning I added my spare fx5 to the 150 gal that i had running on the pond to get it going (before I had my mag 1800gph pump and 75 gal sump)

noticed the water was slightly cloudy in the 150 this morning (water parameters were good though)-I'm thinking because I took out at least 50-60 gallons to acclimate the ray in the bin? i did add new water to the tank along with stress and cycle last night...is this ok...I've had to do something like this a couple years ago, and then day after the water cleared up...any thoughts...
thanks guys!
