in a house
on my 120gallon i have
2 80 gallon emperror 400s running and thats all.. i toulk out the carbon pads and put in floss and outher stuff but im a lil confused

people are saying sump and wet/dry crap and talking about all this crap i have no clue of.

I was just wondering if i had a pump underwater in the corner of my tank that sucked in the water i ran it through a tube and down into a filter ex fluval 400 filled with biballs and floss and crap than ran waterthat just came out of the fluval through the outher hose into a hangon filter ontop with more bioballs/floss? what would that be called and would it be better than just 2 emperror 400s?

also can some one show me what the hell a wet/dry and sump and what not is

ill try and draw a pic of what i mean

yellow= fluval
purpel= overflow filter
blue= the pump thats sucking water from the tank and putting it into the fluval
red= the tubes that the water will be transfering from.

Why put a pump to pump water to a canister filter?It has its own pump.
you could add a third emp 400 or a canister either way would be plenty

I dident no it had the pump in the filter XD i thought it was just a filter.
so if i toulk out the pump in the tank to the left. and just had the hoose in the water it would work?
and would it work well?

No im not the milkmans kid lmao..

But would that first picture work well? and can some one explain to me what a wet/dry with a sump is.. thats kinda what this whole topic was. lmao

the thing in the bottom left change that to just where the water is getting sucked in by the hose..
If anyone has a better setup for filteration please post a pic of it here and explain it :) thankyou
