Filtration and setup for 300 SA/CA Community

Nope, a custom 75 gallon W/D w 2x PF-1000 overflow boxes and 2x 900gph pumps, one feeding a UGJ system. A Fluval FX5 for mech, a Cascade 1000 canister fitted with a 36w UV sterilizer and a Koralia powerhead :D
 
Are you looking for 900x2 after loss or just 2 900gph pumps and have less after the headloss.
 
Ehhh I dont know about that...might be a lot less than 900...measure it once its set up.

Also just so you know...your getting 1800gph at 0' of head for almost 200watts. The reeflo dart does 3600 at 0' for 155 watts.
 
Two FX5s with only white sponge and biomedia and a 300-400 gph submersible pump for the uv unit. This is essentially what I have on my 330 and it is perfect.
 
Nice size...i have a 8' 240 im working on...same but not 30 tall...only 24.
 
It's a good footprint for big SA/CA cichlids, should be able to keep quite a few in here without too much mayhem :D

Gonna be lots of large driftwood, various size natural (river rock) gravel, along with some of the larger river rock landscaping stone, need to find some nice fake plants too. Back and sides will be painted black (only 10" between the wall and the tank on each side where it's going, so not much side viewing) It's gonna be my show tank, something to make everyone that sees it jaws drop, especially the non hobbiest's :D
