In the uk they’re made by a brand called all pond solutions but they are basically the same filter. I have one on my 125 right now and it works quite well. When I get the money I will get an fx6 as well. The flow is good, mines rated a 2000 litres an hour( just over 500 gallons). It has 4 fairly large media trays. Only issue I had with mine was that about a year ago I cleaned it out and when I turned it back on it started working fine, came back 10 minutes later and it was leaking like mad so I shut it off and couldn’t find the problem, I eventually just covered the o ring in Vaseline and it worked fine, I just have to do that every time I clean the filter, so all in all they aren’t too bad in quality but I think with filters you get what you pay for, you buy a cheap filter and you get a cheap made filter, you buy a exspensive filter and you get a well made filter. If you have the money go for the more exspensive imoBertie, you have experience with a sunsun? I've heard from a few people that they are low quality, what is your experience with the sunsun canister?
Well you get a 2 year warranty on the filter but I would have to shut down my tank because instead of giving repair parts they give you a new filter so I would have no filter on my tank for a week or so which couldn’t work so I just learnt to live with itHmm, ya reckon all pond solutions will fix that in the future?
What Ehiems do you useI have used a sunsun 404b for about 2 years, recently sold it but it gave me no problems. Huge filter for 80$, way better value than an fx6. Could get 4 of them for the price of an fx6. I would use one again, though I prefer my eheims.
2217 and 2213 classic. Have had both for 10-15 years and no problems with them. Only replaced impeller a couple times. What Ehiems do you use
