Why don't you try running both and if u figure out in a month or so that you don't want fx-5 more just sell it that way you have the opportunity of using both together and seeing how it works out for you....

i'm currently running two fx5 on my 225 gallon tank. i'm searching for a sump just for an overkill in filtration. if i were you, i would get one sump and one fx5.

the sump does well for skimming surface which fx5 does not pick up. hence why i am searching for a sump. either way, i think two fx5 would be efficient for your tank if you DO NOT have a large stock.
