filtration overkill?

I've got a penguin 200 and a HOT Mag250 on my 29g...

A penguin 200 on my 10g...

No, I wouldn't say you're overkill. Hell, If I felt like it I'd have sumps on these tanks to add water volume and more filtration.

I've got a penguin 350 on a 15 gallon fry tank. Had a 200, but switched it out. Define overkill..

I have a 75gal. with a wet/dry rated for a 300gal., and a 1500 gph pump. Every tank I own is over filtered!

got a Whisper 60 on my 29g and wanting either a Emperor 280, AC 30/50, or maybe even sponge. I'm still unsure lol

ive been debating putting in another filter either a penguin150 or maybe even a penguin300... i just basically want my water crystal clear... a lil less work i gotta do is better

That's not really overkill, alot depends on your stocking levels though. It is a good idea to run multiple filters on your tank, incase one were to fail.

if i added a emperor 400 would my lil cichlids ( like 2-4") be okay?... i dont want anybody getting sucked in lol

at one inch they are large enough to escape an emp 400. I have a couple hundred fry in a tank with one.
