FINALLY A DAT!!!!!

I have a 6 inch jardini and I'm holding an ID shark for a friend for a few more days. I also have a red tail giant gourami like 3 inches(not sure if I'm keeping him in that tank) and also I can mabye move the datnoid to a 60 long before I add him to the 180 for grow out purposes if the jardini may be big enough to kill him. Or I can work out other arrangements if need be

Yeah he is swilling a lot and showing all bars with no lights are on I think he is a 4 bar/ 4 bar fork but when I go to take pics I need the light on or else I can't see all the bars in the cphone because he looks dark in the pics I take in my phone and when the light goes on he gets darker in his ball half

I think he could get used to the light eventually. After he gets a little more comfy I would try getting him used to the light a little. You only had him for a couple days right?
 
Yes I got him on the night of the 26th and also I have to keep in mind he was being severely bullied by the jack dempseys I'm liking how he is adjusting so far

Give him time and maybe he will get use to the lights 4 of mine do fine with lights and one is only stable when it's dark or dinner time.

Mine never had issues with lights being on or off. He is stable with bright lights amd even in the dark. Maybe I was lucky when I chose mine or maybe he got used to the lighting. Even right now while he is sleeping in the dark he has all of his stripes and is out in the open.

Mine becomes almost black with the lights on and he shows all his bars with the light off I will get him used to it I'm at least happy I got a dat in the first place
