It really depends on how well the guy eats. I would say he would be fine in the 20g for a couple months. The more he eats the faster he outgrows the tank.

Alright we will see...now for te daily update he is brighter today than he was any other day with the lights off. He is showing all bars I can now confirm one side as 4 bar and the other I'm not certain but I think it's a 3 bar fork. He will readily eat the frozen bloodworms and won't touch anything else besides live. He is very interactive always swimming up to me in the glass he is not afraid. So yeah he is doing good settling in well

Is he doing any better with the lights on? It took mine awhile to deal with the lights but now we use sunlight for most of the day then turn on the lights and they all seem to not mind them and stay stable

He is doing good he is eating frozen bloodworms and shows interest in shrimp and tilapia and he is not growing much but he eats a lot and he is showing stable colors either being his true colors or very light in color he is no longer black. He does not like the light at all he cannot stand it so I am kind of in a predicament I want to move him to a larger tank even though he is still small and see if he will grow better but on all my other tanks I like the lights on and so do the fish so I'm not sure what to do to help him out with the fear of lights but yes he is doing pretty good just not growing and afraid of light I now have an Reverse Osmosis system in my house so the water quality is as good as it's going to get I can try and get pics later but it's pretty hard because with ought the tank lights on you can't see him in the picture and once the lights are on he hides or becomes really light in color but I will deffinaty l try to get pics
