There was another one in stock as well. It looked nice and was smashing pellets also.
Thank you.....what other interesting stuff they got? Looking for cool plecos, cats and SDollars....Never been to that store. Been to the other one in Vernon....nice store for tiny fish. i am sure you know Aquatic Wildlife in South Windsor....a pricey store with weak stock for monster keepers. Not too many options in CT...All the action is in New Jersey in the Northeast!!
Agreed. He can get about anything. I bought by curupira from there. Ive seen armatus, kelberi, black diamond rays, Motoro, acestros, temensis, etc. Honestly a lot of times his stock is similar to exotic fish shop.net. Maybe a coincidence though.
Probably the worst day I've had in a long time. Came downstairs this morning to a dead VATF. Not exactly sure what happened but my hunch is he rammed the glass. He was doing great but I wanted to add some dithers, chose a few Buenos Aires tetras. I think their nervous nature caused him some stress. I pulled them out last night when I noticed the redness shown and when he wouldn't eat. Been keeping fish for 20 years and haven't experienced a day like this......

You're likely correct about it ramming the glass. I've lost more than a couple that way as well. I've found that young ATF will school with and behave in a manner similar to the dithers they're provided.
For your next ATF, I would highly recommend tinfoil barbs as teachers/dithers. Tinfoils seem to stupid to be afraid of anything, all they care about is eating. This is a nice attitude for an ATF to learn, because most won't take to pellets as easily as your poor fella did.
