Finally Decided on 300gal Native Tank!

Baking it is an option that i use for my snake stuff. Works great. And i can get bigger pieces.
 
You can always eat the channel cat if it does outgrow your tank. You stole that tank for that price, and are you using two fluval fx6 canisters? Didn't they discontinue the fx5? The fx6 is rated for 400gal. Post pics please
 
I have 2 fx5s left from my 240gal. I can't afford an fx6... spent all my money on the tank :P Can't post pics. Haven't set it up yet. Going to go wood hunting this weekend, then picking up tank(Hopefully) on the 13th. Then turtles, then wood, then fish. Fish r obviously last to give time for temps and such. It's gonna take time. Hopefully not as long as I'm expecting. And i don't like to eat catfish ;)
 
Have you considered gar, bowfin, or pickerel?

Gar is dream fish. But gar are illegal in WA(still considered getting one), but i couldn't post pics on here :) Same with bowfin. I believe all pike are illegal as well. If i move or something, then i will most definitely get a gar.
 
Just a heads up.. turtles nails WILL scratch the heck out of acrylic. I had a large RES in a glass 135gal and she completely ruined the tank; I can only imagine what they would do to acrylic.
 
I've had turtles in acrylic 120gal, and a 240. They mostly just made those little hazy scratches that disappear when full of water. It's their little nails :)
 
nice stock list, just be careful with the red-eared sliders they will nip at the fins of your fish
