Do you have pic's of your filter? Great job

Still being lazy about it. Haven't even started  Man! I'm lazy!!! Dude...that's a sweet Golden CK in your avatar! Yours?

Yeah thanks, he's about 23". I'm having a hard time finding tank mates for them since my peacock died. Sure hate to start over.

I'm gonna do a pond kind of like yours but I will only have 2 rows of blocks high and then dig down about about 2 feet. I'm trying to figure out how to add a skimmer, waterfall weir and run the plumbing back to the other end without it being visible. It will be right next to the house and deck. The deck is the reason for the short wall hopefully to keep anyone from stepping onto the pond and to have a sitting wall.
Do you know what type of filter you will use or how you will mount it? If the hole thing was in the ground this would not be a problem. I don't think anyway.

Well...I'm done with the filter. I just need to take some pics. I made it out of a small plastic square flower pot.

I'd figured everytime I see a pond filter for a small pond, it can filter up to an 800g to 1000g pond. And they look just as big as this pot, so I thought I'd give it a try. I used some old bio balls from a tank that I'm not using anymore and pretty much bought some ammonia remover and carbon, and some filter pads for an actual pond filter. Pretty much...everything inside the container is meant to be used for aquariums/ponds. I just build the box. I'd say I still saved myself at least $70 doing it this way.

After a long while...here's the filter I made. I took the pictures before I really finished, but you get the picture...no pun intended.
