So today I called and ordered the last Goliath African Tiger Fish that Rapps had. He will be coming in at 10:30 tommorow morning, I'm so damn excited. I will be putting him in a growout 30 gal until hes big enough to enter the 180 gal. I blacked out the back and sides of the 30 gallon took and took out all decorum and one of the two lightbulbs. They are apparently already eating frozen blood worms so I'll keep him on that for now. Any suggestions on how to acclimate him best are extremely welcome!

pretty skittish fish.. till knock pretty hard into glass when its stressed out.

so keep it with more docile fish, especially the small specimens.. once they hit 1foot they should be pretty good to fend for themselves.. freaking fast fishes

If you don't have tank mates then he will be even more skittish. Mine smashed into the side so hard he dislocated his jaw. It's crooked now. Not sure if he'll make it since he's not eating.

Damn that sucks man sorry to hear it. Thanks for the words of wisdom by the way... Did you have the sides of the tank blacked out also?

The danios have been shooting around the tank since they were added (theres 2 of them).

My questions are:

Wont this quick movement scare the goliath?

and

Should I add another 1-2 danios to make it more of a school?
