Thank you Ric! How is the ornate settling in? Did you try feeding it yet? The other bichirs I've sold recently were eating right away, and you won't believe how fast that little ornate has grown since I got it.

Best of luck to you too, what are you keeping it with?

Its very active and exploring its new home. It ate the first night, sinking pelets. Its in a 29gal all by its self till it gets some size. same tank the rope was in. Then into one of the 110s or the indoor pond. Thanks again Serg, I think we both are happier with our new fish.:headbang2

Great! Keep the hiding spots to a minimum, that little guy is very active and has been since I got him. Not giving him a super secluded spot will help keep him that way.

Booger is doing awesome! Very active, loving the tank! :)

Congrats. They must be really happy in that planted tank.

Thank you CDM! They do seem to be really enjoying the complexity of the tank now! :)

It's amazing how different their behavior is from when I had them in a tank with just two pieces of drfitwood and substrate, versus in a densely planted, lots of rocks and driftwood tank.

I miss seeing the constantly cruising around the tank type of swimming, but it's cool to have to 'look' for them too. :)

sweet pair of ropes bro!

Thanks man, so far their contrast is holding up. I thought maybe Booger's color was lighter because of stress, but it's been a couple days now and he is still lighter, which is cool because I can tell them apart.

Hopefully I'll be able to find a few females for them :)

I decided that I will get a teugelsi instead since it's long and skinny like a rope but with better colors.

Thats good, you wont be disappointed, Teugelsi is active when settled in! I still think you should try a ropefish though. Their color varies and you can find neon green ones. They're super active too when they dont' have much hiding spots.

It's a good idea, bratha, since I miss mine already... It's time for another group buy :naughty: I also like rope fish, after I saw that one at Serg's place. It's just hard to get one, when Serg is on a mission for rope fish
