Finally got pictures!!!

I just put it in the tank. I have never had a problem with it being dirty. But that's just me. But I second the PFS from Leslie's, it is just heavy enough that you can pretty much gravel vac it.

coooool. how do you guys go about putting sand in your tank when theres already water?? I FINALLY did a water change last night & i added a little more sand while the water level was lower. i used a tube from above the water to the bottom & poured it through a funnel. kindof a pain but do you know an easier way?

next time i do a water change ill be sure to get some of that PFS! =)

Just swing by Leslies Pool that is over by Linens n Things and grab a 50lb bag. A lot of people rinse it off before putting it in the tank, but I don't. I just shut off the filters and pour it on in. No tubes, no funnels, no nothin'.

actually my setup changed very since i poseted these. the sand you see in the pictures is usually used for rays. its reeeeeeeally fine. the bags say "all around the world," a little pricey too. BUT, the sand i have now is leslie's pool filter sand. its a little darker, looks very nice and its much heavier, makin it alot easier to take care of.
NOW, i have that tank on a stand, =) i changed the sand, the background, the decorations, added more plants and different fish =)
