how does the TP work???

The touchpanel will be mounted on the front of the stand..dead center. The TP controls my tanks, and if need be I can always update it and add more tanks. :naughty:

The touch panel is connected to a control unit, CRESTRON makes home/commercial automation systems, the language used to program is not complicated to learn. With the control system, I can add as many modules or sub control units (ex:power switch, dimmers, rs-232 ,lutron lighting, HVAC..etc..). Basically if its electrical or electronics it can be controlled by a Crestron system. I have 3 power control units that has its own relay switch built into it, and the Crestron CNXSM-Pro has 8 built in relays with the option of adding more. Each appliance (pump, lights etc..) is powered thru the creston power module and the module is connected to the controller unit via its own propriety net. The touchpanel is always tied into the cresnet. The moonlights will be controlled straight thru the controller relay since its only 12volts and the relays can handle power up to 24V.

I already have this system for my hometheather system which is in my basement, so I figure why not tie in the tanks also.

Crestron systems are great systems, a hell of lot better than its rival company AMX, which blowz. I have 4 crestron systems running in my house, livingroom entertainment with a wireless TP and wired with video on the screen, Master bedroom, and my wife's own computer room plus my HT room/rec/basement/fish room! :grinno: Plus all these systems can be tied in together so I can control any of the equipment from those rooms, or with the wireless TP up to 300ft distance anywhere.

looks real good

The plastic container filled with the pads and pre-filters is a nice touch and great idea.

Looks very sound, great work

im very impressed

Thanks..should've seen the look on my wife's face..:WHOA: she sez to me..you built that?

Gee thanks honey for the compliment!

As I have stated, I'm no carpenter by trade, but I am willing to get my hands dirty (and splintered/glued/stained...etc). I know I could've just bought one, but I'm the kind of guy that likes to feel a sense of accomplishment and a cheap bastard! :grinno:

 Maybe when I retire from my "real" job.:grinno:

Actually, one of my co-workers has been hinting to me...that he wants a setup like mine.:screwy:
