Oki doki, just got home from work and naturally checked out the egg situation.

There are a few white ones, and the rest are a sorta greyish non colour... good sign?

You should keep the other 2 females. just to help as dithers to keep the pair from turning on each other. Congratulations on the spawn.

I'll make sure to keep everyone posted (and will try to get some pics up when I get the chance).

As of last night and this morning before leaving there are still no changes. Parents are still being vigilant at watching their eggs, its all very sweet.

From what I understood, White are dead eggs, clear/tan are fertile...

I think thats right...

Just to update everyone...

This morning all the fertile looking eggs seem to have gone missing, so I am assuming they hatched. Female JD is hiding in a cave where she seems to have dug a pit as well. Male is guarding whats left of the eggs (though those are all the bad ones) still terrorizing anyone that comes near, and for some reason my other female. Going to find her a new home this weekend as she is taking quite a beating.

Only thing is, I don't see anything swimming or wiggling. I tried shining a light into the cave to have a look but can't see anything.

As the first time, am I supposed to see anything??

when the BF's JD's laid eggs they went missing for a day or so...we thought they got eaten, then boom! THOUSANDS OF BABYS! lol so hope thats what happend to yours!
