I think the best thing about going fiberglass, my tank is in my basement, its a 270 gallon tank with roughly 60 gallons of water in the sump. I have only an ebo jager 300 watt heater and the tank temp is at 80F. My only issue is the water dropping into the sump makes it sound like a waterfall. The pump is completely insulated with foam at all sides. Im thinkin bout grabbing some foam insulation from Lowes and surrounding the 4 sides of the sump.
