Thanks for the comments everyone.

Looks great. Is that 3/4" glass or thicker?

I can't remember how thick the glass is actually - i'll have to check the invoice and come back to you

Looks good. I think adding those supports to the stand was a smart move. That's a long span to leave unsupported under all that weight.

It's interesting how it seems like all large tanks outside of the US are made out of glass. Are there any acrylic aquarium manufacturers in your area?

Acrylic in the UK isn't widely used, i do know of a supplier but it's highly expensive, i did see someone with a 7 x 4 tank made out of acrylic and it was very nice, i've been quoted before and it was a few K more than what i paid for this.

amazing!

I have a tank in the works that is almost similar, 8x4x3

You will really enjoy that footprint, i've 30" tall but i'd certainly say another 6" would make a huge difference, i was governed by windows though.. obstructing light would have been an issue.

Great tank bones.

Thank you Ken, just need some serious stock in there now..

Thanks.

Yes i held off for some time but they seemed to grow a little at pier so once i got the larger tank i took the risk and got my first, it didn't travel well and i had to guard it with my hand for around an hour to stop my Orino attacking it - fortunately the Monos didn't show any interest in attacking.

Thanks everyone.

Looks great bones....does this mean you get your pinima back?

I think his new owner is quite content with him at the moment so not in the near future - timthebadass sold his though so that should be somewhere in the UK, that was a very good quality speciman if i could find that.

very nice looking. Hows about some specs on filtration and heating ie. pumps media how many watts of heating.
Good luck with it
