wow nice but seriously..$400..man thats a lot of money lol..but if you knew me i would of told you to just pay $50 more cause its bigger but at the same time you got a lot with the 125Gallon
Just put the fish in a big rubbermaid tub and look for a good used tank again or seal the old one.
Looks like a nice setup. I have the same idea as you as far as a fish room when I get into a house soon hopefully. I want a couple 100-150g tanks and maybe a few smaller ones (14g-55g) for whatever.
Good luck with getting the situation all buttoned up and can't wait to see what you do with the whole room.

I went ahead and bought a 75g from petsmart with an AC110 for filtration. I know it's not ideal, and I could've gotten something cheaper if I would've waited, but I just said the h*ll with it and did it.
I setup the 75g, put some of the old water from the 125 in with new water, added Prime, aquarium salt and Stability, (here we go again), and I also took my scrubbies out of my sump and floated them in the 75g. I figure the worst that can happen is it might jump start the cycle process some. I'll remove them later tonight.
I also called my LFS and asked how much they'd charge to reseal the tank. They said they didn't do that, and all I needed to do was get some aquarium silicone and slap some over where it was leaking and refill, no need to remove the old stuff
Something tells me I'd be better off removing all the silicone in that corner and resealing from scratch. While I was getting raped at Petsmart for the tank, stand and filter ($435), I also picked up some aquarium silicone as well. The plan is to empty all the sand out of the 125 and this weekend get it moved to the garage so I can try resealing and then do a leak test before putting it back in the house.
Water damage wasn't that bad. I lost about 25g that went through the carpet and floor into the basement. Luckily it was over the unfinished side so nothing major got soaked. I'll pull the carpet back and get this are dried out hopefully in a couple days.
Now that they're setup in their temporary 75g home, all I can do is sit back, cross my fingers, NOT feed them for a couple days, and hope for the best.

So far so good. I checked my levels last night and moving the used carbon from my sump over to the new AC110 filter and floating the scrubbies in the tank for a few hours seemed to help jump start the cycle process. My amm was about .25ppm, but my other levels were right on the money. I haven't fed them yet. I'm planning on adding a small amount tonight, but this soon in a smaller tank I don't want the amm to shoot up and have to do a WC this soon after setting up the new tank.

Or move them back to the 125, keep adding more to fill it up, then maybe make a 'community' tank out of the 75g....

Fingers crossed. I scraped and cleaned about 8in in all 3 directions of where the leak was on the old 125g. I applied the Aquarium silicone on Sat, then looked at it again yesterday and figured a thicker coat couldn't hurt since it would be hidden under the sand anyways so I added some more. The directions say to wait 42 hours before adding water so I guess I'll wait until tomorrow night to try doing a leak test.
The ACs are still going strong and the levels are fine in the new 75g. Although I've decided to put them back into the 125, and make the 75g a 'community' tank.

Last night I put about 5 gallons in the 125 to check for leaks. Everything looked good, so I put in another 5 gallons. Sure enough, it started leaking again. Can't really tell exactly where since it's coming up all along the rear molding that runs along the tank. Only thing for sure is it's somewhere along the back lower bottom. I drained the remainder back out and just walked away. My first thought was to take a hammer to it and go buy a brand new one eventually. But I guess since it was a Xmas present from my wife she might not look too favorably on that. So, I guess this weekend I'm gonna start re-stripping all the silicone off the inside back bottom and try again...
Damn this is aggrivating.. Glad I've got the 75g full of fish. Otherwise, I'd be tempted to walk away from this..
