Maybe theres some other type of large catfish you can keep?
------------------------------------
Got some more pix! He's colored up nicely now. First pic before eating, other pix after...
nice rtc..
With regards of mixing it to with the oscars,i think it's best you use a divider.i tried it before, oscar picked on the rtc.then the 2nd problem was feeding.my oscars will eat all food,so i had to hand feed the rtc.lol!
I got rid of the oscars eventually, the 2 decided to pair up(both are female)!lol!
Now my rtc owns the tank and have grown from 2" to 6" in 2 months.

Yea, I didn't really have high hopes for the oscar getting along with him, tried to keep a suncat with him once...didn't work out, the cat got beat up.
hahaha your goin to make me get another baby
but he would get chomped by bruce (my rtc)
he already tries to catch and eat my 6 in green sunfish that is about twice the size of his mouth. idk how my 3 in warmouth and baby bass have survived this long
but they do just fine for now
He was 3.5" when the first pix were taken....I think he grew already.
