I think it is. It's one of the fish Wes (rare fish) brought in late last year.

But w/ all that being said....That is one great lookn bass!

So Gangster ! Is the Sao Fran a hybrid? Is this fish bought in by Wes different than the Sao Fran that lovethemfish and Jojo were selling in the spring?

This san francisco is wonderful.
Nice colors but its an unknown specimen for sure.
If possible in the location you said I would guess it is an orinocensis x something, but actually there are no orinos related in Rio São Francisco.
Maybe its a kelberi x pinima hybrid because of the tears in the operculum and the circular yellow-rounded blotches.. he doesnt have piquiti traits at all.
If youre curious, I found a fish which is prob an hybrid between kelxpinima:
