Can anyone tell me why some fish are smaller than the others?
They all eat the same and they all have the sam behaviour.
Half are 4" and half of the others maybe 2".
I don't get it...

No one else has said it.......So I have too........The conditions in that laundry tub you are using is appalling. Its a miracle any of them are still alive.
YOU NEED A BIGGER TANK!!!!!!!!!!!! You can stuff all the biological media in that tub you want and it wont help. You need water volume man.
I know its expensive, But its time to get a big tank and more filtration or they will slowly die off.
Slow down on feeding and do 2-3 25% water changes this week
and try to improve your water quality before you kill your fish

I dont know what to say or why is your babies dying by the numbers.
I have 8 1.5" once... and now their 5-7"... the way they eat affects their growth. i was always worried my small pb wont get enuff to eat coz she was the most shy.. lol.. eventually they all survived.. 4 long temensis and 4 kelberi. Agressiveness well most of the time im out working.. so eevn if it happen , they probaly do it away from me lol.. but this time their kissing each other cheek well not aggressivel surprisingly.

But i do know that puting bio ring in the same thing doesnt seem to be a good idea..
make a sump tank bro.. or at least a good canister...
And based on your water current when their young.. I find them a lil too strongs..
I use to have a strong filter in the feeder tank.. all my fishes died from exhaustion. well 50% of it at least.. the smaller one.
A warm water is essential too.. ( mine came from the pump LOl so i dont need a heater and i stay in singapore , it a warm city lol )
and plants help.

and we can all talk about pbs. im still learning too but so far my fish is healthy
only once they vomited after i switch fishes ... .. totally mess up my water bad.
