how do you prepare them? Thaw in water? i would imagin removing the skin and cutting off the tail?

Market shrimp... ^Only the pointed spike at the end of the tail is harmful. Its a flap at the top of the tail fins. you can easily remove it and feed the rest to your fish. Leaving the shell on is good because a majority of the vitamins and color enhancing ingredients are found in the shell. My dats love the tails also

I love seeing my fish eat it, they really enjoy it.

interesting, about what size should dats be before attempting to feed them full size shrimp like that? I know they have huge mouths but I dont know bug there stomach is. And you said you do not feed any live foods to your dats?

No live for my kids. I'm a little drastic when it comes to training my dats. I starve them for about a month with no food. Maybe at the end of every week I'll throw a little of what I want them to eat and thats it. I do plump them up as much as possible before this. You'd be surprised how long dats can go without eating anything. About size for feeding shrimp, I say as long as you can cut it small enough to fit in their mouth. I usually feed it to anything about 2-3" and bigger.

Thanks,

Anything else I could feed them from the seafood section?
