Finally upgrading to a respectable tank setup

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Alright Ive finally got everyone moved up. I was able to get rid of everything but 5 red zebras, trio of trewavasae, and pair of jakes, but I think Im going to keep them and move them to a 55 once I can get it set up. The tank is doing fine now but i want to split both of the return nozzles because theyre really strong. The fish are fine but I dont want to be blowing sand everywhere and theres a dead spot in front of each of the overflows.

I also picked up three small turquoise/green sevs and adopted my brothers mix of fish that were in his 20, an angel, balzani, ram, a few schwartzi cories, some otos, and I picked up a pair of bristlenose plecs too. The angel, cories and balzani will be going to a lfs once I can find one, I havent really looked around yet. Ill be hopefully getting some wild sterbai cories soon and a wild pair of sevs. I just have to wait until payday.

I just poured some sand in after I took these pics so the water is now cloudy but if it settles by tomorrow night, Ill take some more pics and sorry but all I have right now is my camera phone.

Okay so the water cleared up a bit and I added some more driftwood and a few stones/rocks. I think the most aggressive fish so far is the little ram. He'll chase around the balzani and the red zebras for some reason. Its funny, he wasnt aggressive until he was put into this tank.

Anyways heres a few more pics. Im not sure of the size of the pumps but theyre flowing some serious water through the tank. Each one is pushing about 1150 gph and theres two of them(used to be a saltwater tank). The xp2 is on there just because I dont want to lose the bacteria if I put it onto another tank later on.
