I seriously doubt this thing could get out, unless it gets used to my hand being in the tank.

What do people think of this plant? It was labled "Tropical Plant, Medium light 80 deg. No name or anything. I am sure you ripe geniuses can tell me what the heck it is and if it's safe to use in my Gecko cage.

I might be wrong, but I believe that's some variety of Acuba japonica. There are some big ones around my mom's house. They can withstand sleet and freezing rain in the winter and high 90s F in the summer. I don't think they're toxic. Even so, I don't think a day gecko would be able to chew through the leaves.

The plant will work just fine. Just make sure that you use a feeding dish so that the gecko doesnt eat any of the potting soil with his/her meal.

I was thinking of taking some of the potting soil out and packing it with sphagnum and peat mix, so that wouldn't be a problem. I'll have to get a feeding dish. I also got some powdered food for it as well.

Plant looks fine to me. I would also try a bromeliad, pothos, small ficus, or fern-like plant. I had this rad amazon sword bromeliad (no latin name I know of) that would have looked awesome in the crested tank.
