I GOT IT OUT.

I went to the training room at school last night and i found a syringe full of lytocaine.

i shot my thumb up. I performed what is called a digit block on myself.
Then i got some forceps and just went to town on my left thumb.
and i got it out.

WEE HOO

You mean lidocaine? Did the doctor tell you to tell us you did it yourself? LOL

I just got a splinter under the thumb nail in my left hand.
It hurts like a *****.
i have tried getting it out but it is all the way underneath and there is no way i can get to it.
What do you all think i should do?
I have heard that these can lead to a pretty wicked infection.
I am at a complete loss at the moment.

should i just wait and see what happens or should i try to get to a Doctor?
Guys please help me.

So you are asking for help on a fish board but know how to properly inject lidocaine and perform a "digit block"? I smell something fishy, and it isn't my overstocked tanks. LOL Oh, by the way, it's called a "Digital Block".
