Finly got my tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Did u put it on the glass urself ? And is it on all sides of the glass.. ??? A lighter shades on the sides and a solid black on the back...

The tank reminds me of someone's tank here on MFK.. I forgot who it is...

I saved a pic of the tank...

Ill post the pic...

No its just the back thats solida black rest is normal glass. Was afraid it would be to dark to have the right side black. No didnt put it on my slef the guy who built the tank did it. Its custom bilt where it is standing.. glass is 300kg so there is no way would could lift it there.. So i need to take it appart i want to move it

thats a nice tank he got...

Its looking a lot better now.. Im gonna make my aro tank like urs... Only a lot smaller..for a single green...

Is it gonna be an only aro tank...or r u gonna add some other fish later on.. Rays, etc ?

the only problem with adding more aros later is they will be alot smaller

my tank is abit smaller than yours and the aros were fine until they got to 12inch then they were sub adult and all hell broke out

i added 2 x RTG to make the com up to 8 they were still fighting but not as much

i just sold 1 x xback and 1 x rtg and brought a super red their is now 7 x aros in the tank and its much better

you may find the RTG bully the super red

i know you are set on getting 4 x aros but i would truely wait until you have enought cash to add 6 x aros

frank tryed adding 4 x silver aros with 3 x RTG the silver aros just sat and watched the RTG fight it out

you maybe lucky with just 4 aros but in a tank that size i think you are going to have big problem the aro will be able to make territorys and when another aro comes into that territory the other aro will have plenty of room to build up speed and beat up the other aro real bad

your best bet is to put a divider in and cram all the aros into say a 2ft space then increase the space as they grow

i was very lucky with my aros as i didnt pay for them but if i did i would have been crapping myself at times

your aros will look beat up at times it all depends how far you are willing to let it go before you step in and brake it up

i wish you all the best of luck with your aro com it a very nice project and im getting more and more happy with mine as time goes buy

good luck :D

Amazing setup....you sort of lost me when you added gravel though..LOL
As mentioned above you might run into trouble by landscaping the tank, and territory issues...

Another concern is I don't think you will have enough filtration with the 2 FX5's for the stock list you intend on doing...I would at least use 4 FX5's, or sump route.....

Although I think the stand looks sexy that way, might be trouble now to accommodate new filtration ideas....

Can't wait to see aros....

God speed

one other thing i would like to say

i would add the UV aros fight so much you dont want them getting any infection
