Finrot

The main reason I'm not treating the 55g is because I don't see the point in treating the healthy fish also. My BN plecos and clown loaches don't have fin rot, and neither do the majority of the dats.
Also, yes, the small bottles are about 15-16 dollars, but I would still run about a little bit before the full course of treatment. A lot easier to just treat a 29g, then I don't have to waste any unnecessarily.

Sinister J,
He's still eating fortunately. That's how I got the picture, I went to feed them and he came out to eat. Yeah, I know about the pond melafix, I just don't have any on hand right now since none of the LFS have it in.
Actually I'm kind of pissed off and I can't even find the bottle of melafix I have :irked: .
I know I have some somewhere, but the only finrot medicine I found in my cabinet is Mardel trisulfa tabs. Do you think those would be ok, or no?

I usually never use mardel products. I just dont like them. If thats all u got then go ahead. Melafix can get expensive but your dats are worth it. Using a seperate hospital tank sounds ok. If it gets really bad go for the furazone green.

Oh, I'm not all that worried about the expense that I wouldn't treat them.
If the only thing I had to treat them in was the 55g I would, I just don't see the point of doing that when I have 29g tanks everywhere and I can seperate the healthy ones from the ones with finrot *shrug*.

In the meantime they're quarantined and I'll try the mardel since I still can't find my melafix :irked: .
