Nope definitely not that, I put the food I from of his face and watched him eat it, the only thing I can think is either, its very hard to get 1 that's healthy where I'm from, or something was bullying it but I did not see any sighs of this and would it happen that fast? Maybe I have just been really unlucky and picked up bad ones so far :/

Was thinking that too with all the bottom dwellers. Mine was much larger before dealing with that much competition and only had issues with a BGK. Now he's so much bigger than everyone he pretty much ignores them.

I would but I'm trying to sell some tanks and fish so I only have the 90 and whatever bigger 1 I buy but that's gonna be 200+ gallons. I want to start racing again so I want to lower maintenance time lol

fire eels aren't low maintence fish.. lol.. BUT you may be dealing with IPs... ime all spiney eels hit the lfs full of them. i always do an initial dose of prazi-pro ( but anything that is used for internal parasites and considered stingray safe ime works) and have yet to lose any spiney, fire eels included to "random deaths" bloodworms can also cause constipation issues ime, the best foods are live blackworms ( 4"-8") then nightcralwers cut up or whole rangeing with the size. they almost never take prepared foods until 24"+ if your lucky... and Yes.. 3 can live together just fine... my previouse group lived for over 2yrs w/out incident until an unfortunate and freak accident happened.

They also do best QTd at home until they reconize you, but my current one had no issues intigrateing into our community tank to grow up abit until he could go with some of our larger fish. They are gentle giants... therefore do best with docile fish as a general rule.
