Fire eel attack!

I was at a LFS and they were helping me get a track tire eel. All of a sudden a fire eel came out of no where and flopped at me so i had to buy him. I thought it was a sign from god or something to buy him lol

that sounds just like mine, he'll be hidden somewhere and i'll be near the tank or be elbow deep moving plants around and he'll come flying at me like a bat out of hell

idk randomly i was trying to get another eel at the LFS and the fire eel jumped out lol

I've decided fire eels are the fish equivalent of a hyperactive and bored ten-year-old. The one at my LFS is also a pretty goofy sucker. Sort of violent, too.

mine use to be all over me whenever i did maintenece and ate from my hand easier 'n any other fish I've owned... darn things are like puppies. 2am pvc pipe crashing around in the tank wasn't uncommon either.. It's like the midnight bugs my cat gets up her butt... For no good reason it was time to wrestle!
