Well it's definitely getting the chances to eat something.

my small fire eel went 3 weeks without eating because I moved a piece of driftwood that he didn't even use

Yeah, I added a temporary hide for my tigrinus and the fire eel went from hand feeding bucket loads to nothing for a week and put on pale stress colours

yeah they are finicky when I get them to eat in a week or less I consider it a win

Mine has now passed 25 inches, I think it is 26 to 27 now but never stays still long enough.
