fire eel in a 55 gal?

hey guys , im thinking about getting a fire eel.
would a 55 gal be enough ? i know that they get pretty big.
i have a small flowerhorn and a plec in my 55 gal.

No. But it’ll make a quick grow out tank. Try a half banded eel as it’ll be suited for a 55g.
 
What he said. Except i would not expect a spiny eel to last a long time with a flowerhorn in there as well.
Yea. Didn’t see the fh part. A small eel won’t work out.
 
I'd leave the stock where it is. The flowerhorn alone is a bit big for it and the pleco, which I'm assuming is a common pleco, leads me to think that no other fish should be added.

Thanks guys ..... ill think about getting a bigger tank .also, what are tank mates for flower horns?
 
Depends on the flowerhorn for tankmates, some are nasty and kill everything, others don't really mind. Try out larger, aggressive fish that can neither eat the flowerhorn, nor be eaten by the flowerhorn. These may or may not work, so you will have to monitor it. The larger the tank and the more hiding places, the more likely it is to work out
