FireMedic's DIY RaY FooD

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Good idea. I will try this upon getting new, more finicky rays. Currently, and for the first time ever, every single one of my rays eats just about everything, including pellets:D

Thank you for the great advice FM!! I have got 2 batches ready to go already lol! I plan on trying multi vitamins what do you recommend?

Well tested both batches did one batch with 4 packs of gel, 1 cup water, 12 shrimp, 2 handfuls of hikari carnivore stix, and 2 handfuls of hikari gold! They loved it all of my fish grubbed on it! Next batch consisted of 6 gel pack, 2 cups of water, 8 smelt,10shrimp, 3handfuls of hikari carnivore,3 handfuls of hikari gold. They loved this also. My non pellet eating rays ate everything...... so succes! Thanks again make this a sticky mods!!!

5MD4 or 28. I can't remember which one I have. If you contact Mazuri they will send you a sample packet of a couple dozen tablets to try.

I use the tablets kinda sparingly. The nutrition offered in my batches is pretty decent. I have used and will continue to use the vitamins in lean times such as winter when fresh smelt and fresh nightcrawlers are not available here in the great white north.

Very glad to here the success story(s) already. I hope this turns out to be a very, very affordable, reliable, easy and diverse method of keeping our rays (and other fish) healthy.

Respectfully,
FireMedic.

what should the consistancy of the pellets look like? a dust?

I am using NLS mega fish, and the pellets are very hard. Should i blend them up befor hand, and then add to the mixture, or add them to the mixture, them blend it whole?

Hey FM...this may be revolutionary! I may have to try it for the heck of it! Let us know how it goes Vamp...Great job once again FM!:clap:thumbsup:
