I'm a Thorichthys keeper myself so would be curious to see these guys grown up. If you do grow some out, please do update this thread.

I know you said you plan to keep them for yourself, but most people would recommend against keeping different Thorichthys in the same tank in the first place. Some purebred ellioti would be cooler IMHO.

Thanks. Me too They're in a seperate tank at the moment. It wasn't my intention either. I still can't wait to see how some of these guys turn out though!

I've separated the majority of them into another tank, but kept 4 as growouts. Here's how they're looking now...

Nice fish... Dead easy to spot as a hybrid aswell as it has clearly developed the body shape of meeki and most of the colouring of Ellioti.

Thanks for updating on this. This confirms my fear that mine may cross breed. I'm about ready to move my T. Maculipinnis (Ellioti) from my qt to the 75 gallon but I'll need to rehome my Meeki first. I dont have any room at the moment in my other tanks. I'd much rather keep the Ellioti.
