A worthwhile goal... but... Thorichthys generally have a colored belly and the albino mixteco does not (or at least mine didn't). If you do get an albino firemouth, why do you think the red will be retained? It's worth the attempt, and breeding is, no doubt, an enjoyable pursuit for you, but what, if anything, leads you to think the outcome is possible? Now remove all the blue and replace it with white. The dark bands would be a faint yellow, the eyes would be red, and all the red coloration in the fins and body would remain. This would be a gorgeous, never seen, show stopping fish! This is the true goal!
