The way that you can do it is by making yoiur foot fall true aka equal pressure on all poins flat if this is not done the place with most preasuer will get burnd or cut that is why when done you never run or secong guss your steps.

actually lots of people do it, in other countries.. i thought it was mostly a hindu thing.. but the stuff i've seen has a lot of coal that looks cooler then the pic here, that looks red hot! don't think it would be possible for someone to do that without getting burnt really badly?!

I still don't believe it as I burnt the bottoms of both of my feet really bad as a kid walking across hot concrete (not even asphalt!) one summer in Arizona!!!

Mythbusters has done this before! I remember watching the episode where they actually walked on fire thingy & they were all fine except to one who panic'd and rushed the walk. haha!

The concrete was not insulated, the coals are.

Kind of like the chicken being BBQ'd over hot coals? :screwy:

The chicken stays over hot coals a long time. It's called 'firewalking' for a reason. Good luck with 'firestanding'.

True, the chicken is over the coals a long time. It is also (not usually) in contact with the coals and still gets cooked though. With this logic a cow getting branded by a branding iron wouldn't even get branded! After all the cow is only in contact with the branding iron for a few seconds! :D
