first attempts at DSLR - Nikon D40, RD flowerhorn

I picked this camera up yesterday for a very good deal, so far i'm loving it.

Anyhow, I took these shots this morning after reading up on exposure basics: my favorite is the 4th shot down, i like the shadows.

i'm using just the tank lights. playing around w/ the manual settings on these photos.

Nice pics, and for advices. Post only 1-3 pics that you like most and focus only on pics that arent moved. Actually only 1 pic REALLY belongs there but they are all good none the less. This is a GREAT first attempt and it looks like you definetly have what it takes to take good pictures.
