2nd time out and i pull in this guy, i think its safe to say the 2011 fishing season is well under way ;)

its not exactly big but its decent..but um yea its cool to fish here for things like trout/salmon but other than that not really..

5lb+ bass isn't big in your area? damn i wanna fish where you're fishin. lol.

Overall I caught maybe 100+ 5 lb fish in 1 1/2 years, (Very rough guess) without too much time outside at all. I still need to find a better fishing spot though, my original lake was cleaned out of big bass. Must have seen several 8 lb fish being dragged home for dinner last year, it's a bummer too since big bass don't taste good at all. (The best cook in the world, my mom, tried it on a 10 pounder, blech, catch and release since then!)
 
florida and texas get it the best with big bass populations, its just not fair haha - i'd love to go down there and fish some time.

i disagree about em not tasting good though, i've only ate it twice and once was last week after i gill hooked one fishing for catfish and it tasted pretty good fried up, still not gonna start keeping em

Dude...you're fishing in Michigan then that is a large bass. Nice catch to the OP
