Leaving in about 5 hours to take the first legitimate fishing trip of the year, supposed to get up to the mid 70s tomorrow with tonights low being 50. Taking the entire gauntlet of poles ranging from bass baits to catfish rods to a bream rod and a rod with small beetle spins, gotta think at least something will bite. Just excited to finally see a day with good weather and the first true day off i've had in quite a while :P

Wish me luck, will post up pics if I catch anything worthwhile

had a heck of a morning and tore em up pretty good, nothing huge, but some solid fish. I kept a few and need to go clean em up, but i'll post pictures in a little while :)

I typically don't keep bass, so keep the flaming to a minimum please. Gill hooked it and bled so bad there was no chance it would survive on its own :\

Overall: Successful day

Freak thing about the catfish though... it was on ice for 4 hours, I got home, took it out, it starts shaking, scared the hell out of me. It's currently in my bathtub swimming around like nothing happened, gonna just take em back tomorrow, he deserves to live lol.

Just so you know, since you took that catfish home, its probably illegal to release it now. That's how it is here and in quite a few other states...

+1

every bass i've ever caught in that pond has had that coloration, idk if its a different strain but they're very healthy fish

- as for the catfish, came up with the perfect plan - it went in my girlfriend's dad's koi pond :P

yep :P good eats
