I'm confused, you started out saying you wanted smaller, rare fish and now are decided on pacu? Really?

I know about the upgrading. Those fish have just been on my mind for the past year. I really only want Pacu because their cool and they look like piranhas, which are illegal in my area.
Silver Dollars look like Piranhna too!!

I'd go with some sort of parachromis... whether that be jag's, tiger, dovi, umbee, loisellei, or friedrichsthalli...

I can't wait for a tank that size so i can do all this...

OK, so i'll do a South American Cichlid. Thier Jaguar Cichlids are $6, but the minimum order total is $40. Can anything live with Jaguars? What about Cubans?

What about Sterlets Sturgeon (Acipenser Ruthenus)?

If you want something really aggressive wolf fish are gonna bore you, so will pirahnas. Get a big cichlid, they're more interactive.

get a jaguar cichlid those are nice, or a JD, red devil. those can get pretty big, but personally if u want a monster, get a arowana.

I think i'll go with an arowana. What can share a tank with a Silver Arowana? Also minimum size tank for them?

fully agree with DarthRhom, I just sold my piranhas because they are too skittish for a 125 tank placed in a room that gets alot of traffic. Oscars are your best bet.... BUT, I dont see why anyone would upkeep a 125 just for 1 or 2 fish. Been there done that. I got rid of my predators and moved toward a 125 FW community and a 55 SW community. If im going to have that maintenance, I want multiple fish to inhabit the tank that are interactive and cool to look at. If you want aggressive AND cool to look at, WITH multiple fish, go Afrcian cichlids. I miss my Africans. Surprised they werent mentioned
